In the spring, faculty from Mason Gross and the School of Public Health were brought together to share research ideas as part of a “speed networking” session. Through funding provided by both schools, $10,000 MGSA-SPH Collaborative Seed Grants were awarded to to each of the following research collaborations that emerged from this event:
- “The Effects of Implementing Polestar Pilates on Racial and Socioeconomically Diverse Public High Schools in New Jersey,” Frederick Curry (Dance) and Devin English (Urban-Global Public Health), Co-Principal Investigators
- “Addressing HIV-related Stigma through Photovoice,” Jacqueline Thaw (Art & Design) and Ashley Grosso (Urban-Global Public Health), Co-PIs
- “HIV/AIDS and Survivorship: Developing Positive Health Outcomes and Resilience through an Embodied Oral History Workshop and Performance,” Jeff Friedman (Dance), Kristen Krause (Urban-Global Public Health), and Stephanie Shiau (Biostatistics & Epidemiology), Co-PIs
