This year’s Mason Gross School of the Arts convocation ceremony was held on May 9 at the State Theatre in downtown New Brunswick, where the Class of 2024 crossed the stage to receive their degrees.
Guest speaker Courtney Bryan, an MM alum and 2023 MacArthur fellow, delivered an address infused with words of wisdom from her own mentors and inspirations. Graduating BM music education student Meghan Correll served as student speaker, and Dean Jason Geary also gave a parting speech to the graduates.
“As you enter this new and exciting chapter of your life with your hard-earned degrees, please embrace the idea that life is an improvisation,” Bryan said. “You have the tools needed to navigate, listen, and respond to an ever-changing world and ever-growing self.”
