On May 11, Mason Gross School of the Arts hosted an in-person convocation ceremony celebrating the graduating class of 2023. The ceremony took place at the State Theatre in downtown New Brunswick.
BFA Film graduate DeVonna Brockman served as student speaker. Kevin Chamberlin, a three-time Tony nominee, former cast member of Disney Channel’s Jessie, and Mason Gross alum, imparted the graduates with some final words of wisdom, alongside Chancellor-Provost Francine Conway and Dean Jason Geary.
“We are all destined for greatness,” Brockman affirmed to her classmates. “We continue to answer when art calls. We continue to create through any circumstance— we continue the legacy that is art.”
