Rutgers Today featured our “Introduction to Arts Leadership” course, co-taught by alum/Theater faculty John Keller and alum Dan Swern, in its roundup titled “Rutgers’ Innovative Courses.” The core course is part of our newly minted Arts Management and Leadership minor. In addition, The Daily Targum did a deep dive into the minor.
“How are students thinking about their careers, and how are they thinking about their lives out of school? We want to provide some effective strategies to prep them for that,” Keller told The Targum.
The Arts Management and Leadership minor, open to all MGSA and SAS students, supports students seeking to gain skills or build careers in arts administration in either the nonprofit or commercial sectors. Through three required courses—two in Business Studies and one in Arts Administration Studies—and three electives, students may gain a foundation for work or graduate study in the field of arts administration. Learn more about the minor and how to apply.
