Guest Artist Voice Masterclass: Benjamin Taylor

Baritone Benjamin Taylor received his Master of Music from Boston University and his Performer’s Certificate with Boston University’s Opera Institute. Notable roles include Silvio in "I pagliacci," Fiorello in "The Barber of Seville," Cowardly Giant in "Shalimar the Clown," and Marcello in "La bohème."

Design Lecture: Kelly Walters

Kelly Walters is an artist, designer, and founder of the multidisciplinary design studio Bright Polka Dot. Her ongoing design research interrogates identity formation and systems of value embedded in Black visual and material culture.

CANCELLED – Visiting Artist Lecture: Jeremy Dennis

Jeremy Dennis (b. 1990) is a contemporary fine art photographer, an enrolled Tribal Member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton, NY, and lead artist and founder of the non-profit Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio, Inc. on the Shinnecock Reservation. In his work, he explores Indigenous identity, culture, and assimilation.

Rutgers Jazz Ensemble: “Tribute to Jaco Pastorius”

Featuring arrangements by the late jazz bassist and composer, including “Continuum” and “Liberty City.” With guest Alex Foster on sax, part of the Saturday Night Live house band for nearly three decades. Also featuring jazz faculty Kenny Davis on bass, and Robby Ameen on drums.
