Visiting Artist Lecture: Barbara Madsen
Virtual EventsAssociate Professor Barbara Madsen is known for her work in photography, print, sculpture, and installation. Her art employs the tropes of modernism, popular culture and objects that are consumed and discarded creating a mythical narrative using devices that may be sinister, creepy, nostalgic, and blithely campy.
Visiting Artist Lecture: Tiona Nekkia McClodden
Virtual EventsTiona Nekkia McClodden is an interdisciplinary visual artist, filmmaker, and curator whose work often employs a citational practice exploring and critiquing issues at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and social commentary. McClodden has exhibited and screened work at MoMA and the Whitney Museum and was awarded the 2019 Guggenheim Fellowship in Fine Arts.
