Rutgers Filmmaking Center presents director Feras Fayyad in conversation with Documentary Film Lab Head Thomas Lennon regarding Fayyad’s 2017 documentary Last Men in Aleppo.

The film, the first Documentary Feature Oscar nominee from a Syrian directing-producing team, tells the story of the White Helmets, the volunteer search and rescue group that operates in war-torn Syria, and shows the brutal human toll of the Syrian war. Last Men in Aleppo also won the World Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. The film is available via Kanopy.
