Welcome & Advisement General Session
WHO: ALL NEW STUDENTS
- REQUIRED: For all new incoming first-years and transfers
- OPTIONAL: for all school-to-school transfers and new graduate students
WHEN: Monday, August 30
Check-in starts at 10:15 a.m. – Bettenbender Plaza
Welcome Session starts 10:30 a.m. – Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theatre
LUNCH PROVIDED: following the morning welcome session, a picnic-style lunch will be provided out in Bettenbender Plaza starting at 12:00pm. #freefood
Departmental Breakout Sessions - MANDATORY
Monday, August 30, 1–3 p.m.
MFA Design: Civic Square Building Room 203, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
BFA Dance: Nicholas Music Center Studio 110, 1–3 p.m.
BFA Filmmaking: Rehearsal Hall 104, 1–3 p.m.
BM Music: Schare Recital Hall, 1–3 p.m.
Graduate Music: Mortensen Hall, 1–3 p.m.
Theater: Mastrobuono Theater, 1–3 p.m.
Tuesday, August 31, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
BFA Art & Design: Civic Square Building Room 110, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
Parking Information
Parking permits are in effect. Students can only park in the designated lots for the permit they have, whether residential or commuter. To view lots open to students click HERE. Lot #79 (in front of Hickman Hall) is the closest to the Welcome Assembly event.
If you do not have a semester parking permit, you can purchase a one-day visitor parking pass at $5. Please click HERE to purchase. You CANNOT purchase a one-day visitor pass if you already have a parking permit.
Buses will be running on a regular schedule all during Welcome Week. The closest bus stop to the Welcome Assembly event is Gibbons, accessible via the EE or F bus routes.
