Michael Billingsley’s writings about music and music appreciation have been published and presented nationally and internationally. He has also received grants from the National Endowment of the Arts, the Tribeca Film Institute and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. As a musician, Professor Billingsley has recorded two full-length albums of his own original songs and compositions, recorded and performed with a wide variety of jazz and popular ensembles and maintains a steady calendar of local performances of his own jazz ensembles.
