Biography

Kiana Rosa Fischer graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts in 2016 with a BFA in dance. She has danced for Rock Dance Collective and Ocampowang Dance, performing at venues such as Joe’s Pub, SteelStacks, Rutgers University, and BAM Fisher, as well as internationally at the Taipei Experimental Theater in Taiwan. Her choreography has been shown at Dixon Place, NJPAC, NBPAC, MGPAC, Nimbus Arts Center, and site-specific work at Grounds for Sculpture and Morven Museum. In 2020, she was accepted into Dance New Jersey and NJPAC’s emerging choreographer’s fellowship “Jersey (New) Moves”, premiering work in 2022 and 2023 under the mentorship of Carolyn Dorfman. In 2015, Fischer became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and graduated from Polestar’s comprehensive Pilates teacher-training program. She enjoys freelancing as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and writer.
