Directed by Professor Abraham Burton, The Rutgers Jazz Lab Band presents “Make it Funky: Jazz in the 70s and Beyond”. As Rock, Funk, Soul, and R&B dominated the airwaves of popular music, so too did those sounds influence the music made by Jazz musicians of the day. The night will feature music from the era when Jazz went electric and gained a backbeat.
