WHO WE ARE
Director of Communications: Laurie Granieri
Laurie (she/her/hers) strategizes with faculty leadership and the deans to home in on their communications priorities and to tell the school’s stories in a compelling and cogent manner. She pitches and/or assigns stories about MGSA faculty, staff, students, alumni, programs, collaborations, and initiatives to university, local, regional, and national news outlets and oversees the Communications team priorities, including the production and maintenance of promotional materials (annual magazine, flyers, posters, et al.), digital ads, the school website, and other communications tools.
Laurie holds a BA degree in art history and an MA degree in Italian Renaissance art history. She is a former arts journalist and continues to publish in various literary journals.

Digital Strategist: Katelyn Rakonjac
Katelyn evaluates our website and workflows, analyzes our data, helps us to use that data to make marketing decisions, and shapes our online presence. She oversees the annual website audit, evaluates audience data culled from Tessitura, and works to raise the school’s online profile.Katelyn earned a BA in computer science from Rutgers University with work in data structures, data analysis, database management, and algorithms. She also enjoys painting.

Public Relations Assistant: Emily Soper
Emily implements website edits, manages the team’s budget, initiates and manages social media campaigns and collaborates with the Admissions team and the director of communications to create digital recruitment ad campaigns. Emily is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in journalism and media studies and a minor in psychology.
How Emily can help: Emily is happy to visit classes, studios, rehearsals, or public events to tell the story of MGSA via social media, and she is eager to collaborate with faculty and students on creating content.
