On January 5, acting alum Sebastian Stan (BFA’05) took home the Golden Globe for Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for his turn as an actor grappling with facial disfigurement in the thriller A Different Man. Stan was also nominated in the Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama category for his role as a young President-Elect Donald J. Trump in The Apprentice.
New York Times film critics Manohla Dargis and Alissa Wilkinson both contend that Stan should be nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for The Apprentice. In Dargis’s review of the film in October, she calls Stan’s performance “terrific.”
