The Rutgers Filmmaking Center provides students with a rigorous technical and theoretical foundation for the BFA degree program, which Variety named “one of the top programs in the United States.” With resources and training such as the Documentary Film Lab, intensive production classes, advanced technical workshops, and groundbreaking curriculum, students discover their personal aesthetics and express themselves intellectually and creatively.

For film and philosophy major (and Honors College student and former Mason Gross Student Governing Association president…!) Charles de Agustin (at left), last summer was a series of inspiring film opportunities, from the Cannes Film Festival and the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium to the Flaherty Film Seminar and a film programming internship at UnionDocs in New York City. “While I don’t know what being a professional in my field means for me yet, I do try to seize every opportunity I can inside and outside of the classroom,†he says.
